Actress Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) is going to be a new mom. She and her husband, Joe LoCicero, shared the happy news on social media this past Saturday (July 30), which marked Rodriguez’s 38th birthday.

“This birthday hits different,” she wrote along with a series of photos and a video of the couple.

Rodriguez’s eyes welled up during the video portion, where she shared a glimpse of her positive pregnancy test while standing next to LoCicero. This will be the first child for both, and the couple married in 2019.

Some celebrity friends like Amy Garcia (Lucifer) congratulated her in the comments section. “Yaaaaaaas mamma!!! Congrats!!!” Garcia wrote. Isabella Gomez (One Day at a Time) wrote, “Happy birthday and congrats, sweet woman.”

Other known talent who chimed in to wish Rodriguez a happy birthday and congratulations included JJ Soria (Gentefied), Gloria Calderón Kellett (With Love), Haskiri Velazquez (Saved by the Bell), Adam Rodriguez (CSI: Miami), Selenis Leyva (Orange is the New Black), Gina Torres (9-1-1: Lone Star), Anjelah Johnson-Reyes (Our Family Wedding), and Jaime Camil (Jane the Virgin), who said his “heart is bursting” for the couple.

Gina Rodriguez’s video played Calum Scott’s 2018 song “You Are the Reason,” which begins with the words, “Anyone can want you, but the love hits different when someone actually values you.”

On LoCicero’s Instagram page, the actor, best known for his role in the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, wished his wife a happy birthday. He left the pregnancy announcement exclusively to her.

“Wherever you go, my heart follows,” he wrote. “Happy Birthday, my Goddess.” Rodriguez responded: “Me and baby love you, papa.”
