After a buzzy weekend of fashion, runway appearances, and city-wide activations, Willy Chavarria’s Paris Fashion Week debut continues to deliver on a global scale. Over the weekend, Willy Chavarria partnered with Tinder and the Human Rights Campaign to unveil a limited-edition sweatshirt with the statement “How We Love is Who We Are.”

The black, limited-edition crew neck sweater was worn by Chavarria during his Fall 2025 runway show, and comes at a contentious time for the LGBTQ+ community’s human rights, with over 570 bills targeting the LGBTQ+ community.

Politics, human rights, and fashion go hand in hand for Willy Chavarria. Never one to shy away from critical conversations through his designs, Chavarria has released collections that touch on the radical spirit of 80’s and 90’s cholos and zoot suiters, labor workers and genderless figures. In his designs, Chavarria often uses elements from working class and popular Latino culture to tell a story and make his message clear: Fashion is political.

“Fashion has always been a reflection of the cultural and political climate,” says Chavarria, “and it has the power to challenge norms, start conversations, and inspire change.”

In support of the critical fight for human rights, Tinder has made a donation in Willy Chavarria’s honor to the Human Rights Campaign to continue to champion their message for equality and liberation.

Taking the message to the streets of Paris, Tinder has also enlisted Mexican artist Gustavo Garcia-Villa to create striking visuals that represent the intimacy of human connection. The visuals are prominently displayed across the streets of Paris to encourage viewers to engage in the conversation for equality and human rights.
