After 10 years, Camila is finally going to tour the U.S. The popular Mexican pop-rock group confirmed that the three original members will go on their Regresa Tour this spring. The highly-anticipated tour will kick off at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL, on May 11 and wrap up at the United Palace in New York City, NY, on May 31. This marks the band’s first tour together since 2013.

Formed in 2003, Camila was known as a project with three members: Mario Domm, Pablo Hurtado, and Samo. Their debut album, Todo Cambió (2006), made them popular with now classic hits like “Todo Cambió,” “Abrázame,” and “Coleccionista de Canciones.” However, the band separated in 2013 when Samo went solo. Hurtado and Domm continued as a duo under Camila – until 2023 when Samo decided to join the band again. Now, the band is hitting the road together for the first time in over a decade.

“It’s really exciting after 10 years to have the opportunity to visit U.S. cities [and] to sing together again – to hear the timbres of the three of us together,” Domm, the group’s vocalist, tells Remezcla about touring together again. “Also, [on a] personal level, having grown as people and finding ourselves more mature in another stage of our lives but with the same opportunity and with music that seems not to have aged… and that people still make it part of their lives.”

When asked about their 10-year hiatus as a trio, Hurtado reiterated how that period of separation helped the members mature through the years of separation. “We had children, we grew in that personal part. Samo also grew as an artist and on a personal level,” the band’s guitarist adds. “I think it helped the three of us want to be together again because of commitment and that desire to return to our origins, to listen to the songs as they were born almost 20 years ago when the three of us started this project.”

He continues: “Everything has its due moment, and time did its thing, so today we are here together again – something that, at some point, we thought would not happen. We are happy for this second chance, grateful to life and the audience for continuing to listen to our songs, and [we’re] excited to bring this live show to so many countries and cities.”

After kicking off their tour in Hollywood, FL, the band will continue to perform at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, CA (May 23); the SAP Center in San Jose, CA (May 24); and the Rosemont Theatre in Rosemont, IL (May 29). Their last shows will be at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ (May 30), and the United Palace in New York, NY (May 31). More dates are to be announced soon.

Moreover, the band is also nominated for two awards at Premio Lo Nuestro. Their latest album Regresa (2024) is out now.
