Multiple people were injured at a Quevedo concert in Mexico City last night (Apr. 23). After one of the bleachers at the Palacio de los Deportes reportedly in part collapsed, the Spanish singer and the promoter behind the concert have since responded.
Quevedo, who is best known for his hit “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 52” with Bizarrap, kicked off his 2025 Buenas Noches Latam Tour in Mexico. While he was performing at the Palacio de los Deportes, three people were injured. In section C of the venue, fans were jumping up and down to the music when one of the bleachers’ planks reportedly collapsed. Graphic videos have emerged of the incident, showing two people lying beneath the bleachers after falling down. As someone screams out for help, medics can also be seen tending to the injured fans on the ground.
Despite the people who fell appearing to be in bad shape in the video, Ocesa, the promoter behind Quevedo’s concert, released a statement saying that the three individuals sustained “non-serious injuries.” The organization added, “In line with our protocols, the individuals were immediately attended to by the venue’s medical and security staff, and were taken to a hospital where they received care and were discharged during the early hours of the morning accompanied by their families.”
In a statement of his own, Quevedo reiterated that the three people were now recovering from the fall. “Good morning from CDMX,” he wrote on X. “Last night, a bleacher collapsed during the show, and three people had to receive medical attention. We’ve learned that they’ve been discharged without serious injuries, and I wanted to send them encouragement and strength for a speedy recovery.”

This latest accident at the Palacio de los Deportes is bringing up concerns about people’s safety at concerts in Mexico. This comes on the heels of two photojournalists dying at the AXE Ceremonia festival earlier this month when a scissor lift was blown over and fell on them.
Quevedo will visit the United States in October with his Buenas Noches USA Tour.
