Maná is revisiting one of their classics with Carín León. Today (May 30), the legendary Mexican group teamed up with León for a new version of “Vivir Sin Aire.”
Maná has spent the past six years re-recording their hits with Latine and Spanish superstars. They’ve joined forces with Pablo Alborán for “Rayando El Sol,” Sebastián Yatra for “No Ha Parado De Llover,” Joy of Jesse y Joy for “Eres Mi Religión,” and Marco Antonio Solís for “Ojalá Pudiera Borrarte.” The group has finally compiled all their duets into the Noches De Cantina, which was also released today.
“Vivir Sin Aire” is originally from Maná’s 1992 album Dónde Jugarán Los Niños. The group breathes new life into one of their most iconic songs, especially with Leon’s soulful voice that’s on par with lead singer Fher Olvera’s. To close their duets era on a high note, they also released the music video for the new version of “Vivir Sin Aire” with León. In a preview of the collaboration, Olvera made light of a time when he fell down while performing a concert. He is seen laughing off the moment while sharing a beer with León.
Maná’s Noches De Catina album also includes duets of “Te Lloré Un Río” with Christian Nodal and “Mariposa Traicionera” with Alejandro Fernández. The LP is rounded out by new versions of “Amor Clandestino” with Eden Muñoz and “El Reloj Cucú” with Mabel.

Maná will also tour the U.S. this summer. The band will touch down in the states with their Vivir Sin Aire Tour on Sept. 5. The first two nights of the U.S. leg of the tour will take place at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, TX. Earlier this month, León released a deluxe edition of his latest album called Palabra De To’s (Seca).
