WATCH: Karol G Has Fiery Chemistry With Danny Ramirez in ‘Papasito’ Music Video

Karol G is falling for a Marvel star in her new music video. Today (June 20), the Colombian superstar premiered the music video for “Papasito,” where she lives her vedette fantasy with actor Danny Ramirez.
“Papasito” is one of the songs from Karol G’s new LP Tropicoqueta. In the vintage album art, she has paid homage to vedette culture. Now she brings that experience to life in the vibrant music video for “Papasito.”
Ramirez, who is of Colombian and Mexican descent, is known for starring in blockbuster movies like Top Gun: Maverick and Captain America: Brave New World. Now he is playing the Latino heartthrob in Karol G’s “Papasito” video. While serving vedette glamour, she dances with and gets hot and heavy with Ramirez. Karol’s actual mom, Martha Navarro, wakes her up from her telenovela-like daydream.
While Karol G pretends to crush on Ramirez in the “Papasito” video, her real boyfriend Feid is also a part of her album. The hidden track “Canción 13” is her long-awaited collaboration with the Colombian singer. Back in 2023, Karol G teased that “Verano Rosa” would be included on Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season), but the song wasn’t completed in time. Fortunately, her summer banger with Feid is finally seeing the light of day on Tropicoqueta.
In “Verano Rosa,” Karol G mimics Feid’s famous “whoa!” adlib that he says in all of his songs. This marks their third collaboration together following “Friki” and last year’s “+57.” Another secret feature on Karol G’s Tropicoqueta album is Mexican pop icon Thalia in the interlude “La Reina Presenta.” Her tropical-flavored LP also features Marco Antonio Solís, Greeicy, La Factoría’s Eddy Lover, Manu Chao, and Mariah Angeliq. A surprising sample is The Beatles’ “And I Love Her” in the interlude “A Su Boca La Amo.”
