Days after Bad Bunny revealed that he will headline next year’s Super Bowl halftime show, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has responded. According to a DHS advisor, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will be present at the football game.
Back in May, Bad Bunny announced his DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour and noticeably there were no dates in the mainland U.S. Instead, he wanted his fans to visit Puerto Rico for his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency, which wrapped on Sept. 20. Last month, Bad Bunny also revealed the real reason why he didn’t want to tour in the states. He told i-D Magazine, “There was the issue of—like, fucking ICE could be outside [my concert] and it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about.” President Donald Trump’s administration has amped up ICE raids across the country since he took office in January.
On Sunday night (September 28), the NFL announced that Bad Bunny will headline next year’s Super Bowl halftime show. He will make history as the first solo male Latin artist to front the global event. And so far, Trump’s administration has remained silent about the Bad Bunny news. Until now.
On “The Benny Show” podcast, DHS advisor Corey Lewandowski spoke about the presence of ICE at Super Bowl LX.

“There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally,” Lewandowski said. “Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility and deport you. Know that is a very real situation under this administration, which is contrary to how it used to be.”
Lewandowski then went on to express his dissatisfaction with Bad Bunny as the halftime show headliner. In the same breath, he labeled the Puerto Rican superstar as anti-American. Lewandowski then mentioned that the order to have ICE at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California came directly from Trump.
“It’s so shameful they’ve decided to pick somebody who seems to hate America so much to represent them at the Halftime Show,” he added. “If there are illegal aliens, I don’t care if it’s a concert for Johnny Smith or Bad Bunny or anybody else. We’re going to do enforcement everywhere. We are going to make Americans safe. That is a directive from the president. If you’re in this country illegally, go home.”
