After more than a year-long wait, a new album from Young Miko is on the way. Last night (Oct. 1), the Puerto Rican superstar announced her highly-anticipated second LP with new single “Meiomi.”
In the past three years, Young Miko has solidified herself as the future of el movimiento. Following the release of her EP Trap Kitty in 2022, she collaborated with heavy hitters like Bad Bunny on “Fina” and Feid on “Classy 101.” Known for singing openly about her love for other women, Young Miko has also become an empowering voice for the LGBTQ+ community within the genre. Despite breaking out with Trap Kitty, she did keep her fans waiting a bit before releasing her debut album Att. last year.
Now that Young Miko is on top of the world, her fans have been demanding a second album from her. Since the release of Att., she has teamed up with Bizarrap on “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 58” and Tainy, J Balvin, and Jowell y Randy on “Colmillo.” Young Miko has also put out a few singles, including “pinot grigio” and “WASSUP.” The latter track sampled the classic “Lollipop” by Lil Wayne and Static Major. But now, Young Miko fans will be happy to know that her next album is finally on the way.
Yesterday, Young Miko premiered the music video for her new single “Meiomi.” This time around, she embraces Afrobeats-infused rhythms and sings about falling in love with a stripper. Young Miko was at the helm of the vibrant music video with 1K Dojo, which shows the rapper dancing with her female love interest. With the release of “Meiomi,” she also announced that her second album is “coming soon” on her official website.

As of press time, Young Miko hasn’t revealed the release date for the next album. Later this month, she will be a special guest on a few select dates of Billie Eilish’s “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR in the U.S.”
