President Donald Trump is sharing his thoughts on Bad Bunny headlining next year’s Super Bowl halftime show. In addition to expressing his discontent with the decision, Trump went on to say that he’s not familiar with the Puerto Rican superstar.
On September 28, the NFL revealed that Bad Bunny will headline the halftime show at Super Bowl LX next year. A few days after the news came out, an advisor for the U.S. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will patrol the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California that day.
“There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally,” DHS advisor Corey Lewandowski said. “Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility and deport you.”
Now Trump himself is opening up about his opinion on Bad Bunny’s halftime show takeover. Last night, he called the Newsmax show Greg Kelly Reports. Host Greg Kelly started off the conversation by saying Bad Bunny “does not seem like a unifying entertainer” and “a lot of folks don’t even know who he is.” Trump agreed with his assessment.

“I never heard of him,” the President said about Bad Bunny. “I don’t know who he is, I don’t know why they’re doing it. It’s crazy, and then they blame it on some promoter that they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”
Despite the backlash from conservatives, Bad Bunny remains excited about becoming the first solo male Latin artist to headline the halftime show. On Saturday Night Live, he said everyone has four months to learn Spanish, so they can understand him when he’s performing in his native tongue at the football game.
