The NFL continues to incorporate our communities, and it’s doing so in more ways than just playing games in Latin America and celebrating its Latino players. On the first-ever game in Spain, which will be played on November 16 at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the halftime show will be headlined by Argentinian record producer and songwriter BIZARRAP and Puerto Rican icon Daddy Yankee.
The Madrid game is set to feature the Miami Dolphins, who will play host to the Washington Commanders.
During the show, the duo is set to debut their brand-new collaboration “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 0/66” live. The halftime show will also mark Daddy Yankee’s highly anticipated return to the stage. NFL games don’t typically have halftime shows, but the NFL has been increasingly incorporating them in international games to draw more interest.
The league will also spotlight local and global musical talent throughout game day, including performances by the Madrid Marine Infantry Group Band and Dominican-Armenian vocalist Karina Pasian.
BIZARRAP is one of the Top 10 most-streamed artists globally, and is known for his record-breaking sessions with artists like Residente, Shakira, Quevedo, Rauw Alejandro, and others. Meanwhile, Daddy Yankee, who has been dubbed the “King of Reggaetón,” just recently made a comeback from retirement and remains one of the most influential artists in music today.
With this halftime show, the NFL proves its commitment to a growing international footprint, an investment that is just ramping up, not dying down. Karol G recently performed at the halftime show during the season-opening game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers. That game was played in São Paulo, Brazil.
In addition, the biggest halftime show in the NFL, the Super Bowl, will also be headlined by someone from our communities: Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, who skipped the US in his recent tour completely, but will be making one stop in the US for the big game.
