The Seattle Seahawks are looking to win their second Super Bowl in franchise history when they face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX. The game, which will take place on February 8th in Santa Clara, will be well represented by our communities. And one of those players to follow is rookie Tight End Elijah Arroyo.
Arroyo, who did not play in the NFC Championship Game after an injury sidelined him in Week 14, has been activated from Injured Reserve and will be available to play the biggest game of his career so far.
The rookie, who was selected by the Seahawks with the 50th pick in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft, is certainly starting his career with a bang.
The Seahawks will take all the help they can get against a Patriots defense that has looked very good this postseason. However, Sam Darnold will certainly be a much bigger foe for the Patriots than the Broncos backup QB was in the AFC Championship game. And Arroyo can be a great weapon for Darnold and the Seattle offense.
“Having a Mexican last name and being able to represent the people of Mexico means a lot to me. I know I represent something bigger than just me, and that fills me with pride,” Arroyo said about being in the NFL.
Now, he gets to represent his country on a big stage. Super Bowl LX is set to be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. And Arroyo won’t be the only Latino present. Four other players from our communities will participate in the game, including Arroyo’s teammate, Jordan Love. The Patriots have three Latino players: Andres Borregales, Christian Gonzalez, and Jaylinn Hawkins.
Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny will headline the Halftime Show.
