A museum in Mexico City is delivering a new exhibit worthy of World Cup Glory.

Museo Jumex will showcase an exhibit titled Objects of Glory, which will be available from June 10 through August 30, 2026. The exhibit is set to bring together a number of significant objects in the history of the sport, offering visitors an opportunity to explore fútbol’s most defining moments.

“We are very pleased to collaborate with the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum and Qatar Museums on Objects of Glory. This partnership allows us to bring an exceptional selection of iconic objects that have shaped the history of football to Mexican audiences, while continuing to expand the ways in which Museo Jumex engages diverse publics through meaningful cultural experiences,” said Eugenio López Alonso, President of Fundación Jumex.

The exhibit is timed to the 2026 World Cup games in Mexico, and will feature historic match balls, legendary boots, iconic jerseys, rare trophies, and archival documents that follow the sport’s evolution. Among the articles on display will be  Diego Maradona’s match-worn jersey from the 1986 World Cup quarter-final in Mexico City, Pelé’s boots from the 1970 World Cup, and a hand-painted leather football commemorating the 1888 FA Cup Final at the Oval in London.

“Sport has a unique ability to bring people together through shared emotion and experience. Objects of Glory reflects our commitment to preserving the stories behind football’s most iconic moments while creating new connections between audiences, cultures and communities through the game,” said Abdulla Al Mulla, Director of the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.

This isn’t the only exhibit around the World Cup that the museum has. At the moment they also have a Football & Art. A Shared Emotion exhibit.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will begin on Thursday, June 11, 2026, with the opening match hosted at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The tournament will run from June 11 through July 19, 2026, and will feature 48 teams.
