Catalina Maria Johnson is a Chicago-based music journalist, radio host/producer and music curator who grew up between San Luis Potosí, S.L.P. and St. Louis, Missouri. In terms of radio, Catalina's show, Beat Latino, airs weekly on Vocalo (Chicago Public Media) and in Berlin, Germany. Beat Latino specials also air weekly in Código CDMX (Mexico City) and are licensed in 20+ states throughout the U.S.A. Catalina has contributed to NPR's Alt.Latino and is a regular invited guest on NPR's World Cafe. Her words appear regularly to Uforia Music (Univision), Gozamos and Revista Contratiempo.
