And it refuses to go away. We never thought we'd see "Hot Chip" and "Shakira" in the same sentence...but everything is possible, right?



London's Hot Chip (joined by Scritti Politti’s Green Gartside) did a cover of Shakira’s "She Wolf"’ at BBC Live Lounge, which was recorded at the end of last week. You may think this is a strange combination, but in fact, they make the song much better. But that's just our opinion. We want to hear yours too!

The Chicago summer fest Lollapalooza (August 6-8) features more than 100 artists this year, like The Strokes, Phoenix, Lady Gaga, and others, but...where's the Latin music representation?

As opposed to Coachella, which this year features 5 of the biggest names in Latin music (Calle 13, Aterciopelados, Zoe), at Lolla we're only getting Los Amigos Invisibles. Also, Camilo Lara aka Mexican Institute of Sound , will be DJing at Perry's.

So, yes, that's it. No more Latin artists at Lollapalooza, which honestly kinda sucks. Tickets are already on sale at Lollapalooza.com.

Gustavo Cerati, the amazing Argentinean singer/songwriter and former Latin rock band Soda Stereo vocalist, just confirmed two concerts in the US this Spring. The shows, in Los Angeles on April 28th and Miami on May 7th, are part of his tour Fuerza Natural, which began at the end of last year and is currently under way around Latin America. The tour's name is also the name of the Latin rocker's last album, which has rock and pop power, acoustic sounds, and that unique style that Cerati is known for.

Is just great that he just announced these two shows in the US, but we're waiting to hear what other US cities he'll hit up next! As always, we'll keep you posted.
