Luis F. López Salgado
Luis López Salgado is a Puerto Rican cultural journalist, critic and filmmaker. He graduated from a bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2012 and worked on local mediums like Radio Isla, the Photojournalism Workshop and Diálogo, the University of Puerto Rico newspaper. He directed the documentary An Industry Struggle (Pugna de Industria) about the management of the film industry in Puerto Rico. It was presented at New Latin American Film Festival in Havana. He’s currently in the master’s program in Cinema Studies at New York University where he was granted a fellowship grant for his academic work. He was a jury member for the 2015 edition of the Puerto Rican international short film festival, Cinefiesta.
