Is Ángela Aguilar preparing her fans for a new era? This week, the Mexican-American songstress debuted a new hairstyle, ahead of today’s Premio Lo Nuestro (Feb. 20). The award show will air live at 7 p.m. EST from Miami, FL, on Univision and ViX.
It looks like Aguilar is ready for a new chapter. After the three-way drama between her husband Christian Nodal and his baby girl’s mother Cazzu, it seems she’s ready to move forward – at least with her hairdo.
Aguilar’s signature hairdo was a short bobcut which she rocked for more than five years. Whether the bobcut was short or a bit longer, she’s known for having the same hairdo since her initial music releases – including her first YouTube video publication for “La Llorona,” posted in 2018. Now, she’s showing off a new look: longer brown locks that reach well past her neck.
The new look was spotted in early February, thanks to eagle-eyed speculators who snapped photos of Aguilar attending Nodal’s performance at the Feria de León 2025. Later, she posted an Instagram story, giving fans a more in-depth of her new look. Fans started to praise her new hairstyle. A TikTok user, karenngarcy, wrote: “What a nice change of look she looks better with long hair.”

Fast forward to this week (Feb. 18), she debuted her long locks in a new music video for “Bala Perdida” with Arthur Hanlon, officially hard-launching her new appearance.
What’s next? Ángela Aguilar is expected to hit the official red carpet for Premio Lo Nuestro.
