Jesus Guerrero, Hairstylist to JLo & Kali Uchis, Passes Away at 34

Celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero passed away this weekend at the age of 34. His family announced the news on his Instagram Stories and shared a GoFundMe to assist with accommodations to bring “him home to Houston.”
Guerrero worked with numerous stars in Hollywood, including Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Lopez, Kali Uchis, and Rosalía. The cause of death has not been revealed, but the family noted on the fundraising page that it happened “very suddenly and unexpectedly.”
“He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more,” the fundraiser page stated. “Born and raised in Houston, TX, to immigrant parents, Jesus learned how to work hard and dreamt of taking his skills to the top.”
Many celebrities have been sharing their love and condolences. Jessica Alba posted photos with Guerrero on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Jesus—you were the purest, biggest heart and soul shined so bright—will cherish memories forever. Still can’t believe this.” Kali Uchis also shared photos of the hairstylist, writing, “I love you Jesus.”
Anitta wrote on her Stories, “Rest in peace my good friend,” while Rosalía expressed in Spanish, “You don’t know how much I’m going to miss you.”
The beauty community is deeply shaken by this loss, as Guerrero was a rising talent who seemed to have made a lasting impact on those he worked with. Influencer Gabriel Zamora reflected on Guerrero’s journey in a heartfelt Instagram post, writing, “We pushed each other to move to LA, and he suggested and dyed my hair blue. We motivated each other to thrive and succeed. Two gay Latino boys from Houston from immigrant parents.”
