Amara la Negra is a new mom. On Wednesday (April 6), the “Ándale” singer announced that she had given birth to twin daughters – although the date of birth is still a bit of a mystery.

Amara posted a photo on Instagram of herself in the maternity ward with the date “3/23.” One might’ve assumed that the date referenced the birthdate of her babies. However, a week earlier, on March 29 (3/29), Amara posted a sonogram video with the words, “We are almost ready to meet the world.”

Despite the date confusion, mother and children are doing well. “I am super happy, excited, under the radar, here enjoying my girls,” Amara told HOLA! USA.

It also seems like Amara has created a separate Instagram account for her newborns. In her post from the maternity ward, she tagged the profile of Las Royal Twins (@lasroyaltwins), which features the same sonogram and hospital pictures as her personal account and a few photos of her pregnancy. It’s anyone’s guess, but maybe this is where she’ll share photos of her children moving forward.

A week ago, Amara confirmed that the father of the girls was Allan Mueses, who was her love interest on Season 4 of the VH1 reality show Love & Hip Hop: Miami. In February, Amara told Parents magazine how she felt about becoming a mother.

“This is the next stage in life, and I think I’m going to be very busy,” she said. “I also believe that…my girls are bringing this lion out of me! I feel like I need to nurture and protect. That feeling is very new to me and it’s so real.”

Amara also talked about what she anticipated raising her twins as a single mother. “I’m a mother, my children are within me,” she said. “I have to take that responsibility and be that mother figure/father figure for my girls.”
