Does a couple’s relationship status change if someone else posts a picture of them spending time together? That’s the situation that actress Ana de la Reguera (The Forever Purge) and actor Alfonso “Poncho” Herrera (Ozark) currently find themselves in.
According to People en Español, a photo of de la Reguera and Herrera sharing a meal at a restaurant in Spain proves the pair are officially a couple. The image was shared on Instagram by Chef Belén Pascual, who posed for a photo with them when they showed up at her restaurant, Blanca Paloma, in Seville.
“Great people,” Pascual wrote on the photo. “It has been a pleasure to meet you. See you in Mexico.”
Neither de la Reguera nor Herrera have posted any photos together on their individual social media pages. Rumors of their relationship, however, have been floating around for months. Last December, Herrera announced that he and Diana Vázquez, his wife and the mother of his two children, would be splitting up.
“For a long time, Diana Vázquez and I have decided to continue our lives along different paths,” Herrera said in a statement. “This situation occurs by mutual agreement and on friendly terms; always wishing each other the best, with great affection and respect. We continue to be great friends and allies for the beautiful family that we have formed.”
Based on cryptic tweets that Vázquez wrote late last year and early this year, Univision was one of many media outlets that concluded that their breakup was caused by Herrera’s alleged infidelity. Without Ana de la Reguera or Alfonso Herrera chiming into the discussion, however, it’s a bit difficult to consider any of it more than standard chisme.
