Actress Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit) graced the cover of the April 2022 issue of British Vogue magazine and looked like absolute royalty in jewelry from Tiffany & Co. and a couture outfit from Dior.

On Instagram, the magazine said Taylor-Joy was experiencing “her own fantasy dress-up moment as fashion’s punk princess.” And inside the magazine, several more photos featured the British-Argentine actress laying across pink blankets and dressed in a pink corset and skirt. Another image featured her posing on a chair barefoot and wearing a black bodysuit and leggings.

In the interview that runs in the magazine, Taylor-Joy talked about the difficult time she had moving from Buenos Aires to London as a child and how she initially refused to learn English because of how badly she missed her home country of Argentina. That led to a turbulent time and some bullying where she was “locked in lockers, barred from classrooms, and not invited to things.”

Taylor-Joy also talked about what she really wants out of life.

“I want to live on a farm,” she said, reminiscing about her childhood in Argentina and showing that just because you move away from the country you’re born in, doesn’t mean that the country leaves you or doesn’t remain in your heart. “I want to work, come into the city when I want to – and then disappear and ride all day.”

Taylor-Joy will be seen next on the big screen on April 22, 2022, in the historical film The Northman by her The Witch director Robert Eggers. After that will be an untitled film by David O. Russell, an untitled Super Mario Bros. animated movie, and a dark comedy thriller called The Menu. She will soon start filming George Miller’s Furiosa, the origin story of the title character in the Mad Max franchise.

The April 2022 issue of British Vogue, starring Anya Taylor-Joy, hits newsstands on March 29.
