Look who’s showing off her elegant beauty, strength, and poise over on the cover of the March issue of Vogue México. It’s singer Karol G!

Karol posted the cover and images from inside the magazine on her Instagram page Wednesday (February 23), and we can’t stop flipping through the slideshow. In a comment she made along with the photos, Karol wrote that she decided to do the photoshoot with “little makeup, simple, natural.” She also spoke about the importance of valuing oneself for who they are.

“Feeling comfortable as we really are is something we struggle with every day, because of how we ‘should’ look, or see ourselves according to social standards,” Karol G said. “On this occasion I wanted you to speak for me, my way of thinking, the success of my work and my music, and the security that has been so difficult to build over the years.”

For her cover look, Karol is wearing a strapless red dress with one long red and black glove on her left hand. Her right hand is bare except for the red nail polish and aqua blue ring that matches the color of her short, slicked hair. The headline on the magazine reads, “Karol G: Empowerment, freedom, and inclusion.” A short quote attributed to Karol is also on the cover. It reads: “It became a mission to love ourselves.”

Some of the other photos of Karol in the magazine include one where she’s sitting on a couch that is covered by a white sheet. She is wearing a fringy black coat and slippers and a white shirt. In another, she is wearing a white, pink and burnt sienna-colored fleece coat.

“If…something I say or do can inspire women to lose their inhibitions, to live calmly, to free themselves, that is very special to me,” Karol told Vogue México. “When I achieved it internally, it was something that took me to another level.”
