  • According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, more than 178,000 immigrants were stopped at the southwest border in April. Driven mainly by young adults, the statistic marks a 21-year high. The number of migrant children crossing the border without their parents fell by 12%. [NBC]
  • On Wednesday, Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene aggressively confronted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, prompting AOC to call on leadership to ensure Congress remains safe and civil for all. In an incident witnessed by reporters, Greene followed AOC out of the House chamber, shouting false accusations and calling the NY representative a supporter of terrorism and ANTIFA who does not “care about the American people.” [WaPo]
