This past weekend, a paparazzo in Argentina was hospitalized after an alleged run-in with two male friends of actresses Margot Robbie (I, Tonya) and Cara Delevingne (Paper Towns), the latter who was accompanying the Barbie actress.
According to information from TMZ and Infobae, Robbie and Delevingne were dining at the high-end Patagonia Sur in Buenos Aires on Sunday after midnight when photographer Pedro Alberto Orquera began taking photos of the Hollywood stars after they left the restaurant.
While details have not been confirmed, reports are that Orquera was allegedly aggressive in his attempt to shoot photos of the pair, who were attempting to get into an Uber. According to TMZ’s sources, Orquera’s behavior caused the Uber driver to drive off with Delevingne in the car and Robbie only halfway in the vehicle.
According to TMZ’s witnesses, the photographer continued taking photos after Robbie jumped out of the car and fell to the ground. That’s when Jac Hopkins and Josey McNamara, friends of Robbie and Delevingne, allegedly stepped in and attacked Orquera. According to IMDb.com, Hopkins worked as a key grip and McNamara as a producer on Robbie’s upcoming Barbie movie.
Orquera was taken to a local hospital where he allegedly underwent surgery for a fractured elbow. An image of Orquera laying in a hospital bed with a cast on his arm has since surfaced. During this time, Orquera called the police and pressed charges against Hopkins and McNamara. Both were detained and have already appeared in court. Charges against them are currently unknown.
Representatives for Robbie and Delevingne have not released any statements about the incident.
