And now John Legend, father of two who is intimately familiar with the song, and an all-female mariachi group have given us an updated version.
While on Power 106 earlier this week, John Legend spoke about the meaning behind his song, “Preach,” his children, and being on The Voice. All the while, Mariachi Lindas Mexicanas joined him; eventually, they did an impromptu version of “Baby Shark.” Legend started playing the keyboard as the women started singing along before picking up their instruments.
“It’s the biggest hit of the 21st century,” a joyful Legend says afterward.
