Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” – which many consider one of the best songs of all time – is hard to cover. A lot of people have tried and fallen flat. But it’s hard to do it better than Queen when you don’t add anything that makes it your own. That’s probably why Innovación Mexicana – an all-female mariachi band – is going viral for its version of the song.
In a video, the 11-member group belts the song in an outdoor location, where passersby occasionally stopped to take it all in. And while this performance has gained steam, the group released a video of the song in December 2018. Innovación Mexicana is a based out of Tlaquepaque, Jalisco. On Facebook, the group says it is “revolutionizing mariachi by fusing different musical genres.”
