Move over, Labubu, because El Sapo Concho is coming through. This past weekend, Bad Bunny started selling keychain plushies of the beloved mascot from his DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS album.
Amidst the Labubu craze, Bad Bunny had teased his own version of the keychain plushie with El Sapo Concho. Last month, he started wearing the toad on his hip during concerts for his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency. El Sapo Concho represents the Puerto Rican crested toad, which is facing extinction on the Caribbean island. The dapper toad has appeared in a short film for the DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS album as well as starred in the music video for “KETU TeCRÉ.” Now, Bad Bunny fans can get their own Labubu-like versions of the cultural mascot.
As of now, the keychain plushie of El Sapo Concho is only available for purchase at Bad Bunny’s No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency in Puerto Rico, where, since July 11, the Puerto Rican superstar has performed over 25 sold-out concerts at El Coliseo in San Juan. There are six different variations of the El Sapo Concho plushie, including the jíbaro, the isleño, and the musician. The toad is apparently also very athletic, with versions of the plushie resembling a boxer, basketball player, and baseball player available.
Bad Bunny fans better move fast to get their El Sapo Concho plushies because there are only three dates left of his residency. The last No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí concerts will take place on Sept. 12, 13, and 14. Other sought-after memorabilia only available at the residency is the photography book Bad Bunny by STILLZ. Bad Bunny’s longtime collaborator STILLZ compiled photos that he’s taken of the singer from throughout his career.
