Bad Bunny was spotted voting in the Puerto Rico gubernatorial elections today (Nov. 3). The Puerto Rican superstar was notably wearing his Lady Gaga merch while waiting in line to vote.

In the lead-up to Puerto Rican elections happening today, Bad Bunny has been encouraging his fans to vote. In August, he posted a picture of his electoral identification card to Twitter with the message: “Take it out and use it!” Last night, Benito posted a picture of a massive protest in the streets with the message: “There are many of us who want a new direction for PR. Let’s make history once again Puerto Rico!!”

As he encouraged his fans to do, Bad Bunny wrote on Twitter today: “I VOTED.” Pictures surfaced of the rapper waiting in line to vote. He wore a bucket hat, a face mask, and Lady Gaga Chromatica album t-shirt. He also appeared to be wearing the Crocs from his collaboration with the shoe brand.

Lady Gaga was one of the artists through which Bad Bunny learned of drag culture that inspired his “Yo Perreo Sola” music video. He would help his cousin, who was a performer, make music mixes for his drag shows. “He explained the choreography to me,” Bad Bunny said. “They were all Lady Gaga songs.”

Today’s elections in Puerto Rico mark the first time Boricuas are voting for a new governor since the resignation of Ricardo Rosselló last year. He was succeeded by current governor Wanda Vázquez Garced, who was appointed to the position through constitutional succession.
