Becky G is engaged to longtime boyfriend and fútbol star Sebastian Lletget! She shared the news on Instagram, delighting fans who have been following their relationship since 2016.

Writing “Our spot forever. 🤍” on an Instagram caption, Becky G made the announcement official and the open joy on her face is heartwarming. Lletget, who plays for the Dallas FC, got down on one knee in Manhattan Beach and Becky G, excitedly, said yes.

There’s even a video of the proposal from a fan.

Becky G first met Lletget when she was filming Power Rangers. It was her costar Naomi Scott and her husband Jordan Spence, who played fútbol with Lletget, that made the connection. After a little hesitation on Becky G’s side (blind dates are hard) they have been connected ever since. The “MAMIII” singer has even gushed about her relationship with Lletget and the way he has been able to connect with her family thanks to their shared culture.

“He can communicate with my abuelitos. It’s cute. It’s really sweet,” the “Mayores” singer told PEOPLE Magazine in the past. “It’s just a different connection, I think, when someone does relate to your culture. But even then, within the Latinx community, there’s so many differences.”

It’s been a good year for Becky G. Aside from getting engaged to the love of her life, the singer recently celebrated her first No. 1 solo song in September with “Bailé Con Mi Ex.” She also won Hot Latin Song of the Year from the Latin Billboard Awards for her collaboration with Karol G on “MAMIII.”

¡Felicidades!
