Camille Vasquez has become one of the most famous attorneys in recent months. Her work in the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial went viral on social media, with people praising the Latina attorney for her robust cross-examination and courtroom presence. During the trial, many people talked about the attorney whose star was quickly rising off- and online. A once low-profile attorney made headlines when she took on the defamation lawsuit that was watched around the world. Now, Mario Lopez is coming in with the big question: Who will play Vasquez if she had a biopic?

During a recent interview with Lopez on Access Daily, the two discussed the trial in-depth and what it was like working with Depp. After some conversations about the pressures of the high-profile case, Lopez had to ask what would happen with casting the world-famous attorney in a hypothetical biopic.

“I don’t know,” Vasquez responds to Lopez’s question while laughing. “Some wonderful Latina actress. Salma Hayek or Eva Longoria. People have said I look a little bit like that.”

Lopez stressed the importance of Camille Vasquez’s representation as millions worldwide watched the trial. Taking on the case that made her famous was a natural fit for Vasquez. According to an interview with Hola US, Vasquez has long been working with Depp at her law firm, so taking on such a highly publicized case with the actor made sense.

“I was one of the few women on the team initially,” she told Hola US. “And having an experience with Johnny and knowing his background, his story, and knowing him made sense to staff me on this case.”
