Scrutiny from fans on Twitter about her relationship with Offset has led Cardi B to abandon the platform over the weekend. In an Instagram Live on Saturday night, the Grammy Award-winning rapper expressed her frustration with a constant stream of critical comments, particularly about her relationship with her daughter’s father.

“What you expect other people that don’t like you to do is what your own fucking fans is doing,” Cardi complained in the live. “That shit is so aggravating.”

But in her rant against toxic patrolling of her day-to-day, which includes speculation about why she was recently pictured smoking a cigarette (some folks blamed Offset), Cardi B tossed out a comparison that staunch followers of a particular pop star are basically calling blasphemy.

“A whole bunch of 15-year-olds telling me how to live my life like I’m motherf—ing Ariana Grande or something, like I came from Disney or something,” she said.

Grande stans are, unsurprisingly, all over this, responding with anger that Cardi would bring their fave into the ordeal. Much of the harsh reactions are happening on Twitter, though—where Cardi is no longer active.

It’s unlikely Cardi will add an apology to Grande fans to her pending to-dos. As it stands, that list is very long. And her marriage isn’t even what she’s most concerned about, either. Between handling all her own deals and negotiations—she’s currently without a manager—and caring for her child, taking care of family (there’s a lot of ‘em, she says), paying her bills, overseeing the work of accounts who could potentially screw her over, Cardi says her marriage is “last on her list.”

Navigating Twitter toxicity was probably never on that list, but now she’s made totally plain that it has no place in her life.

Her Instagram account, however, is still active.
