Carmen Salinas is taking her talents back to Televisa. Despite having previously promised that she wouldn’t return to the world of acting, the recently-elected member of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional has reneged, according to El Diario. Salinas will be shooting Sueño de amor and Nosotros los nacos on top of her legislative duties, which means she’ll be hella busy.
“Televisa contacted me and once again offered me an exclusive contract,” she said. “I am ready to fulfill this commitment. It’s flattering that [Juan] Osorio says I am his good luck charm.” Though she excitedly talked about her role, there’s not much information about how she plans to handle all her jobs.
Salinas does say that the Cámara de Diputados has been supportive and even given her gifts. But just recently, Salinas was criticized for falling asleep during a congressional meeting and nearly 200,000 people signed a Change.org petition titled “Quitémosle la diputación plurinominal a Carmen Salinas.”
