The election aftermath is not the only thing that’s got us thinking about what does it mean to be American. Rena Mundo Croshere and Nadine Mundo are two sisters of Puerto Rican and Jewish descent who were born on The Farm, America’s largest commune in Tennessee. Out of the desire to understand where they came from, they are on a mission to complete their first feature documentary, American Commune. Though they were able to enlist the help of Michael Levine, who also edited Academy Award-nominated Restrepo, the sisters are racing to meet their fundraising goal by December 2nd.

Many media outlets (including CNN) have featured The Farm, but “American Commune” is the FIRST insider look into a communal way of living. Help share the untold story of America’s biggest alternative society with the people who lived it first hand! Watch the trailer below, and view their Kickstarter campaign here.
