If you’ve ever been late to school, you’ll know that teachers frown upon tardiness. So when a Despierta Bogota journalist stopped Daniel, a young Colombian boy on his way to school at 6:25 a.m., the reporter ended up with a viral moment.

In the short exchange, the journalist talks to Daniel about his school and his uniform before asking if “are you late or good on time?” Daniel then asks the reporter what time it is and learns it is 6:25 a.m. “I’m late,” he yells, and immediately takes off running, leaving behind his schoolmate who patiently waited to the side during the interview. Naturally, the reporters back in the studio erupted in laughter.

And just like that, Daniel’s panic encapsulated all of our everyday morning struggles.

October 26 at 12:40 p.m.: Daniel did a follow-up interview, and it’s just as hilarious as his first one. Check it out here.
