The figurines of our childhood, the Homies toys, are adding a new member to the pack– late Mexican music icon, Vicente Fernández.
DGA Tees, a clothing brand launched by the Homies artist David Gonzales, announced the drop of the latest figurine on Instagram with the caption: “El Rey Homies 1/10 scale limited Edition figure is dropping tomorrow Friday Jan 10th at 12 noon pacific time at www.Homiestoys.com.”
The Instagram video features the figurine in several angles, showing off the details of the collectible item, including an intricate gold pattern embossed along the all-white charro suit, sombrero, and belt. The figurine is singing into a gold microphone, and holding an undisclosed bottle of tequila, a concert staple for the Ranchera artist who often downed a trago onstage during his earlier performances.
The figurine also comes in a commemorative box, with soft clouds and pearly gates welcoming the highly revered performer, who passed away at 81 years old in December 2021.

This isn’t the first Chente Homie that the Homies brand has launched. In December 2022, a series 14 collection of Homies dropped and sold out, including an exclusive “El Rey” Chente figurine in black and gold charro suit, atop a pedestal with his famous line “Sigo Siendo el Rey.”
The “El Rey” Vicente Fernández figurine is scheduled to drop on Friday, January 10 at 12 PM PST, and will be available for purchase at www.Homiestoys.com.
