The rumor mill was spinning fast this weekend when People magazine reported from an anonymous source that actress Eiza González (Ambulance) had started dating actor Jason Momoa (Aquaman).
Momoa separated from his wife of five years, actress Lisa Bonet (Ray Donovan), this past January. The couple had been together since 2005. They share a 14-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son.
“They are dating,” the source said. “He cares about her. He’s in a great place, working on Fast X. He’s quite busy, and he’s in a good place.”
Another source adds: “They’re both busy with work but are having fun together. It’s nothing serious yet.”
Momoa was photographed on the red carpet at González’s latest film, Ambulance, although they weren’t shot together. In the film, González plays an EMT who is caught in the middle of a heist when a pair of bank robbers (Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) steal an ambulance to make a getaway.
She also recently went blonde for a photoshoot with V magazine.
Eiza González will be seen in an upcoming biopic on legendary Mexican actress Maria Félix. “This is one of the most exciting moments of my life,” she said on social media. “Maria was a pioneer of the feminist movement who helped lay the foundation for future female trailblazers.”
She will also star in two new TV series: Extrapolations for AppleTV+ and The Three-Body Problem for Netflix. Extrapolations features an all-star cast, including Meryl Streep, Tobey Maguire, and Edward Norton, and is an anthology series about climate change. The Three-Body Problem is a sci-fi series about the first contact between humans and aliens.
