After four years, two postponed weddings, and a pandemic, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have reportedly split and called off their wedding.
According to Page Six, sources have revealed that despite taking a vacation in the Dominican Republic last month and sharing sweet Instagram pics, the two have been on the rocks for awhile. Sources have also confirmed the breakup to E!.
The couple, who have dated since 2017 and got engaged in 2019, have spent the last few weeks apart, with Rodriguez in Miami getting ready for spring training and Lopez in the DR filming her latest movie, Shotgun Wedding.
The breakup is not far-fetched considering the recent rumors that Rodriguez had been FaceTiming with “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy. Though sources close to the MLB star say that he has never met LeCroy, the reality star revealed to Page Six that they “never met up,” but that they’d “spoken on the phone.” “That’s the truth,” she said, adding they’ve “never been physical…never had any kind of anything. Just an acquaintance.”
Despite putting on a happy demeanor in public, the cheating scandal may have taken a toll on the relationship. Lopez was apparently very “embarrassed by it” and it just added to problems they were already having.
The couple share a home with Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme and Rodriguez’s daughters, Natasha and Ella. They also share several real estate properties and businesses together. No word yet how they plan to divide the assets. The last time they appeared on each other’s Instagram was late February.
The famous pair has yet to confirm the news.
