Despite reports on Friday (Mar 12) that Latino power couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez had broken up, the pair has come out denying the rumors that the couple is over.
“All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things,” they told TMZ exclusively the day after their break up rumor went viral. Rodriguez also was seen on a video confirming that he is “not single” before heading to visit fiance Lopez, in the Dominican Republic, where she is currently shooting the rom-com Shotgun Wedding.
Lopez has taken to Instagram to post her feelings about the speed at which the break-up rumors spread. On Sunday (Mar 14), she posted a compilation video and captioned it “Sunday Brunch Playlist.”
The video features old clips and photos of the multi-hyphenated star, set to Saweetie’s “Pretty Bitch Freestyle.” The Instagram post features a couple of quick shots of the multiple headlines about her and Rodriguez’s relationship, as well as some headlines alleging the 51-year-old beauty gets Botox (which she has vehemently denied), as the lyrics rap, “I ain’t worried about a blog or a bitch.”
The video mocks all the headlines and rumors that have pestered Lopez the past several months, by contrasting them with all her achievements and milestones, like performing for President Joe Biden’s Inauguration in January, headlining the Super Bowl halftime show, starring in the critically acclaimed Hustlers, and more.
The Instagram post does two things at once: it challenges all the rumors and it sends a message that Lopez isn’t one to be played with. She clearly knows how to manage her career and her love life, so we can all take a step back and let the two lovebirds work on their relationship (so that they can give us the lavish wedding we all deserve).
