Kids Of Immigrants is expanding. The community-driven brand announced the opening of its first-ever flagship store in Los Angeles, aligning with its 10th anniversary.

Founded in 2016, Kids Of Immigrants has been a space for building community via multiple efforts: educational workshops, youth mentorship, nonprofit partnerships, creative classes, film screenings, wellness events, art showcases, and more.

Helmed by Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis, the brand will now continue to host year-round programming with the aforementioned offerings, as well as include a curated selection of Nike products and introduce five spaces in their new flagship that aim to evolve their brand.

According to the press release, the new additions include a space for retail (featuring the brand’s collections and history), art (for exhibits, film screenings, etc.), a collaborative workspace (that will eventually become a KOI Café), The Playground (for outdoor experiences like fútbol tournaments, flea markets, wellness events, etc.), and The Apartment for networking opportunities.

The new flagship’s mission is to create “a permanent home for retail, art, education, fútbol, and community programming designed to welcome everyone.” It is located at 4873 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90029. Up next, Kids Of Immigrants will host an upcoming event with LAAMS this weekend (August 1), where they are opening their doors for creatives.

“WE’RE CALLING ALL CREATIVE OF EVERY MEDIUM TO COME PRESENT THEIR TALENTS! FOR VOLUME 3 OF LAAMS’ PIPELINE OPEN CALL SERIES, WE’LL BE AT KIDS OF IMMIGRANTS’ FLAGSHIP IN LA THIS SATURDAY – AUG 1ST. WE’RE LOOKING FOR NEW CREATIVE TALENT TO WORK WITH & FEATURE IN NYC,” the social media post said.
