Leslie Jones is a Selena superfan, so it’s not surprising that on an episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, she showed love to La Reina de Tejano. While discussing her portrayal of Oprah on Saturday Night Live, Jones – who wore a Selena shirt underneath her black cardigan – turned the conversation to Jennifer Lopez. She explained that she has yet to meet J.Lo and that she imagines she won’t be able to keep her cool if they come face to face. When Seth asks her if she’s supported J.Lo for a long time, she points to her shirt and says, “I love, love, love Jennifer Lopez, ever since Selena, ever since Selena.”
Myers, unfortunately, changed topics, but Jones was probably ready to provide an in-depth account of her love for Selena. While promoting the female-led Ghostbusters reboot two years ago, Jones and her cast mates took part in a Facebook Live interview for Fandango Cine. During the 19 minutes, she sang “Como la For,” and it was perfect.
