The Lineup for the All Points West Music and Arts Festival (aka Coachella East) has been announced!
The Latin presence is slim to say the least. We’re kind of sad that Cafe Tacvba IS NOT coming here, even though we saw them in November AND at Central Park in July, that mosh would have rocked so much here (take that Jack Johnson!) Pero bueno… Mexican acoustic guitar metaleros (and Gods) Rodrigo y Gabriela, mellow Argentinean lady Juana Molina and front lady Lovefoxxx and her CSS Brazilian rock crew are playing. Entre otras cosas Radiohead is headlining TWO nights and then Jack Johnson is closing the fest on Sunday. (b-o-r-i-n-g!) Oh and NO Porter wtf?
None of these artists has anything new they’re promoting, hopefully that’ll make for refreshing performances and a crowd who’s there really for the music and not to see and be seen. The lineup is not that exciting, and seems pretty small for three days of shows compared to Coachella which has become so huge. The All Points West Music and Arts Festival is being produced by Goldenvoice (Coachella’s creators) and Highline, and will take place August 8th, 9th and 10th at New Jersey’s Liberty State Park.
