Chilean singer and composer Mon Laferte has wed her production manager Joel Orta. The couple was married in a private ceremony on Friday (October 21). Laferte shared a pair of photos from the ceremony on social media this weekend.

“I love you Joel To infinity and beyond,” she wrote as the caption to the photos, a reference to the Toy Story animated franchise.

The first photo that Laferte posted was a black and white image of the couple walking up the aisle after saying their “I dos.” Laferte is wearing a beautiful white gown and veil, while Orta is in a traditional dark tuxedo. Laferte has a large bouquet of flowers in her hands. There are more flowers surrounding the happy couple.

The second photo features the duo sharing their first dance as husband and wife. They are both embracing one another while dancing under lights.

Plenty of fellow celebrities congratulated Laferte and Orta on their Instagram photos, including Kany Garcia, Ximena Sariñana, Myriam Hernandez, Cecilia Suárez, Silvana Estrada, and Joy of Jesse & Joy. Gloria Trevi commented, “The best in the universe for both” while Oscar-nominated actress Yalitza Aparicio (Roma) offered her sentiment by posting five heart emojis.

Earlier this year, Laferte and Orta, who also performs with the Mexican band Celofán, welcomed a baby boy, Joel, into the world. “With my partner we are giving it all and still we don’t have time,” she wrote on Instagram. “This stage is beautiful, it’s very demanding. Don’t be like that, but definitely beautiful and I’m the happiest on the planet!”

It was reported earlier this month that the hacktivist group known as Guacamaya leaked confidential documents from Mexico’s national defense department that allegedly included a report that Laferte was being watched closely by the Mexican army because they considered her “a danger due to her songs,” which include feminist messages.
