It turns out Bad Bunny is a bachelor. During a recent Instagram Live, the superstar revealed that Gabriela Berlingeri, the woman he told Rolling Stone he met in 2017, is actually not his girlfriend like everyone assumed.
“Gabriela and I are such close friends, best friends,” he said.
Friends? Cue the simultaneous dropping of jaws from Bad Bunny fans worldwide.
In that same Rolling Stone interview, Bad Bunny said that Berlingeri and him “really have great chemistry, for real.”
While they may have met five years ago at a restaurant in Puerto Rico (“We started talking and from there, we continued to see each other,” he said), Bad Bunny and Berlingeri didn’t appear together in public until February 2020 when they were seen attending an NBA game in Miami.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the following month, when asked if he was looking for love, Bad Bunny said, “I’m in love,” but didn’t expand on his answer. From there, he and Berlingeri started showing up together in photos on social media and at more basketball games.
The duo then made their official red-carpet debut together during the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards. Last month, Bad Bunny and Berlingeri had fans flipping out when they were featured getting pretend married in Bad Bunny’s music video for his song “Tití Me Preguntó.”
We’ll take Bad Bunny at his word for now and refer to them as BFFs moving forward. Or maybe they’re in an open or “it’s complicated” relationship? Either way, it’s good that they’ve found companionship with each other and we wish them the best.
