Canelo Álvarez celebrated his daughter Emily Cinnamon Álvarez’s quinceañera with a lavish celebration and reception that included musical guests Grupo Firme and Carin León.

The festivities took place this past Saturday (October 15) in Guadalajara, Mexico. The day started with a mass at the Cathedral of Guadalajara where Emily showed up dressed in a sprawling red dress designed by Wil Medina from Culiacán, Sinaloa.

“I am very happy because my daughter turned 15, and we are celebrating now as big as she deserves,” Álvarez told the media that covered the event. “As a father, I am very proud of her for everything she does.”

At the reception, musical guests included Grupo Firme and Carin León. Grupo Firme’s Eduin Caz posted a few photos on Instagram from Saturday evening. Caz’s photos feature Álvarez singing a duet with him. There’s also another where Álvarez is pouring liquor straight from the bottle into Caz’s mouth. No one said they had to remember what they sang, right?

His daughter’s quinceañera, of course, wasn’t the first time Álvarez has ever sung. Just last month, he sang with Caz before going into the ring to fight Gennady “GGG” Golovkin in Las Vegas. He even sings when he’s not celebrating. Earlier this year, when he lost his first boxing match ever to Dmitry Bivol, he was recorded singing Luis Miguel’s song “La Media Vuelta” with actor Diego Boneta.

Canelo Álvarez has also been seen singing karaoke in Miami in early 2022 and serenading his wife at a nightclub in Las Vegas with Joan Sebastian’s song “Eso Y Mas” in late 2021. Something tells us we shouldn’t be surprised if he ends up in a recording studio once he retires from boxing in the next 5-7 years.
