There’s a social media content creator on TikTok whose videos have recently started going viral because of how much she looks like superstar Jennifer Lopez. Sure, we know what you’re thinking. Celebrity lookalikes are a dime a dozen, right? If that’s the case, give makeup artist and digital creator Eve all the dimes.
Eve has been posting content on TikTok since February 2021. Most of her videos pull down tens of thousands – sometimes hundreds of thousands – of views. Her latest videos, however, began reaching millions of viewers a few weeks ago.
It started with a video Eve posted in mid-October where she transformed herself into JLo by applying makeup. The song she chose to play in the background was “All I Have” from Lopez’s 2002 album This Is Me… Then. The song features LL Cool J, who actually slid into Eve’s comments after she posted the video to share some emojis with her, including a power fist. “OMG,” Eve replied.
In the video, which has garnered 6.2 million views, Eve turns herself into JLo right before our eyes with some foundation, eyeliner, concealer and other cosmetics. She tops off the look with the same kind of hoop earrings and fluffy white cap that Lopez sports in the “All I Have” music video.
In another video Eve posted a few days later, which currently has 5.3 million views, she doesn’t show the process to transform into JLo, but instead begins the video with a closeup of her face without makeup and then swipes her hand across it to reveal the JLo look.
In her latest video, which she posted Wednesday (December 7), Eve records herself covering her face with her hands. There is a photo of Lopez in the background. The narrator in the video says, “Stand next to a picture of a celebrity everyone tells you you look like. Show me what you look like!”
Eve then removes her hands from her face to reveal yet another example of the uncanny resemblance. One user was so blown away they said, “How you’re looking like J Lo more than J Lo 😁”
As busy as Jennifer Lopez is these days, maybe two JLo’s are better than one.
