In 2023, Remezcla launched Remezcla Pride: The Joy Edition. That edition of our Pride package was a celebration of our vibrant communities that focused on our joys. We followed that up in 2024 with Remezcla Pride: The Identity Edition. That package focused on the complexities of our identities; from gender identity to sexual orientation. And in 2025 we’re back with Remezcla Pride 2025: No Barriers, Just Pride.

Pride was born from rebellion against silence, shame, and rigid definitions of what we can or should be. This June, we’re honoring that spirit of rebellion by uplifting Latine voices that have redefined what it means to exist beyond the gender binary. Through editorials, interviews, lists, and more, we’re going to explore transgender resilience, non-binary joy, and everything that comes with living an experience outside of the binary.

We’ll have interviews with the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars Season 10 as to what Pride means to them and editorials on the realities of being non-binary in a traditional Colombian household. And we’ll also have lists on transgender Latinas who’ve left their mark on history, a new edition of The Mess on the trans experience in the Latin American Music Industry, and an interview with Irmãs de Pau.

This package is a testament to our assertion that there are no barriers, just Pride and that our communites, we’ve always been here. And we’re not going anywhere.

What makes this Pride package different from all the other ones out there?

Remezcla Pride 2025: No Barriers, Just Pride is about the Latine community, for the Latine community, and written by Latine writers.

Is this just for Pride?

No Barriers, Just Pride is specifically for Pride 2025. But that doesn’t mean that coverage of LGBTQ+ issues will stop once the month ends. Despite the efforts of many against our communities, the LGBTQ+ community continues to thrive 365 days a year and should be honored as such.

Can I send in recommendations for coverage?

Absolutely! As we roll out posts for this package, we’re looking for more opportunities to cover Latine LGBTQ+ talent, creatives, and announcements. Please contact the Trending Editor Lyra Hale here.
