Here Are the Perks That Can Be Enjoyed at the Delta One Lounge

Delta One Lounge

You no longer have to wait to reach your destination to start your vacation with the newest Delta One Lounge in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. Unfortunately, you have to go through security to reach the lounge. But trust me, it’s worth it, as it’s deemed the “new era of premium travel for airlines.” As a frequent traveler, I’m not a massive fan of being at airports or going through layovers, but the lounge made me forget about my travel worries and enjoy some perks.

As you walk into the lounge, you get an instant feeling of luxury mixed with comfort. It’s where you can get a facial and enjoy a decadent meal while waiting to board your flight. Some amenities include a market, bar, wellness area, shower suites, and more.

If you are not heading on vacation but on a work trip or have a very long layover heading home, the lounge offers you the option to freshen up and relax while waiting to reach your final destination with nine reservable relaxation pods that include full-body massage chairs, nap chairs, treatments from certified therapists, and a rejuvenation bar that features refreshing fruit and herb-infused waters and juices. You can also use the showers with eight shower suites, towels, bathrobes and slippers, Grown Alchemist products, and more. There’s also an option of having your clothes steamed and shoes shined, ready to tackle any business travel.

If you have an eye for interior design, the lounge will have you in awe with its designs, furniture, and decor, which is an ode to monumental New York City locations. The bar’s ceiling and fluted glass is a nod to the gold ceiling and chandeliers of Radio City Music Hall. And the ceiling over the food counter honors the original JFK terminal, designed by architect Eero Saarinen.

There’s no place like home, but the Delta team and One Lounge are hoping it comes close to your comfort spot. “Our teams have spared no detail to ensure Delta One Lounge guests receive a truly memorable experience,” said Claude Roussel, Vice President – Delta Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience in a press release. “It’s a new era for Delta – this Lounge is raising the bar across the board, from the amenities to the food and beverage offerings to the level of personalized service. We want our guests to feel the difference here; moreover, we want them to feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step through the door.”
