Here Are the Songs We’d Love for J. Balvin & Peso Pluma To Perform at This Year’s Coachella

Presented By:

There’s always something to be excited about at each year’s Coachella, and to us, the main reason is seeing so many Latine acts on the lineup. Seeing names who are changing the Latine music soundscape like Peso Pluma and J. Balvin at the top of the bill has all of us going crazy. After all, their shows are world class music spectacles, like Heineken Silver is a World-Class Light Beer.

Coachella’s embrace of Latine music is nothing new. Since the first edition there has been at least one Latine act in the bill, and the range of performers has included everyone from Nortec to Ed Maverick to Babasónicos to Ibeyi. Most notably, there was Bad Bunny’s headlining set last year, which was not only historical for symbolic reasons, but also one of the most ambitious, spectacular and fun sets Coachella has ever seen.

Additionally, Heineken House will bring even more amazing music to Coachella with Latine talent such as Fat Joe, Bia, Louie Vega, and Iglesias. For more than 15 years, Heineken House has brought a mixture of new talent from all genres who eventually graduate to the biggest stages in entertainment as well as legends who paved the way and can still deliver their classics to adoring fans. This year, fans are likely to expect some sing-alongs and full-on body-rocking when Fat Joe delivers “What’s Love” and “All The Way Up,” when Bia brings “Whole Lotta Money” and “Milano,” when Louie Vega drops “Last Night a DJ Saved My Life” and “Let It Go,” or when Iglesias performs “Size” and “Volando En Mi Cuarto.”

J. Balvin and Peso Pluma epitomize the seismic impact of Latine music on the global stage. The former being one of the biggest artists to take reggaeton to places where it hadn’t gone before by collaborating with some of the key figures in modern music; yet, always keeping the essence of his style intact. Likewise, Peso Pluma is a once in a lifetime phenomenon, a charismatic figure from the corridos tumbados scene in Mexico who quickly became the new face of regional Mexican music around the world. Both share a love for fusing their characteristic personalities into new forms and to collaborate with kindred spirits in and out of their respective genres. While Heineken is celebrating it’s 150th birthday and can be found in over 190 countries they continue to innovate, launching World Class Light Beer Heineken Silver in 2023; bringing freshness to the table just like J. Balvin and Peso Pluma.

So, what songs do we want to hear from Peso Pluma and J. Balvin at Coachella stage? There’s plenty to choose from, not only counting their own hits and crowd-favorite deep cuts but also their numerous collaborations, even daring to dream of them bringing guests to their respective sets. La Doble P can bring out Natanael Cano and Gabito Ballesteros for “AMG,” Junior H for “El Azul,” and Luis R. Conriquez for “Siempre Pendientes” to have Coachella host the biggest corridos event of our times, and he could also bring out Karol G and Kali Uchis for special versions of “QLONA” and “Igual Que Un Ángel,” respectively. On Balvin’s side, we’d love some old school dembow to make it to his stage, perhaps getting Jowell & Randy to deliver “Bonita” with him or Zion & Lennox for “Otra Vez;” José also has the chance to bring some of the biggest names in global pop on his set, including Cardi B, Rosalía, and—let’s dream big for a minute—Beyoncé.
