WHAT HAPPENED?
After the USMNT won a corner kick near the Bolivia net, a quickly-taken set piece saw Christian Pulisic handed the ball near the corner of the 18-yard-box on the left side of the pitch.
The AC Milan forward dribbled and ripped a curling effort with his right foot, with the strike landing in the top corner of the net just three minutes into the match, giving the U.S. a 1-0 lead.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
It was the best possible start for the USMNT, who are now sitting atop Group A after their victory.
After Pulisic net the opener three minutes in, the U.S. continued their dominant performance throughout the match, with Folarin Balogun doubling their lead just before the halftime break.
The USMNT could have bagged a third or fourth potentially, but they will take their win and move to game two.
WHAT NEXT FOR PULISIC AND THE USMNT?
The USMNT will take on Panama in game two of Copa America later this week, before finishing up the Group Stage on July 1 against Uruguay.
Pulisic, meanwhile, will look to improve on the start to his tournament, as he chases the Golden Boot.
