America Ferrera would say yes to a possible Ugly Betty reunion – and she wouldn’t be the only one. The actress responded in the affirmative to a question about a possible reunion during Elle’s Women in Hollywood event, telling ET, “I think there has been like a desire there for a long time because our ‘Ugly Betty’ family is so close and we love each other so much.”

Not just that, Ferrera confirmed the entire cast would be up for it. “I think we’d all come back in a heartbeat,” she said. Of course, there’s a lot more to getting a reunion going than just wishing it, which Ferrera also acknowledged, saying,  “It takes a lot of work to get a thing off the ground – maybe we’ll figure it out.” But the actress said of the character, which she played for four seasons. “Betty is my heart. I would be thrilled.”

She also spoke to Access Hollywood during the event and said that she loves that Ugly Betty is now on Netflix and finding its way to new fans. “People who weren’t even alive when we first made it are finding it. It’s so exciting to get to see it have a second life.”

Ferrera isn’t the only one who has commented on Ugly Betty recently. The show’s executive producer, Salma Hayek, shared some pictures of herself with Ferrera on Instagram, saying, “I am so excited that a new generation is discovering Ugly Betty. This series is very close to our hearts at Ventanarosa because we produced it 17 years ago. It was groundbreaking at its time and has remained relevant throughout all these years.”

Betty La Fea, the telenovela that inspired Ugly Betty starring America Ferrera – widely considered one of the most popular telenovelas ever, is now returning for a third season, which will pick up where the original narrative ended 22 years ago. Ana María Orozco, the original Betty and Jorge Enrique Abello, the original Armando, are reprising their roles, alongside most of the original cast.
