UPDATE (8/27/25): Bryan has released a statement about his breakup with Amaya from Love Island USA Season 7. He said, “As many of you already. Amaya and I have decided to go our separate ways.”
He followed that by saying, “Unfortunately, we were not on the same page and that is ok. We have both gained clarity that we are on different paths right now.”
He closed it off by wishing her nothing but the best as she moves forward.
UPDATE (8/27/25): Its official. Amaya “Papaya” Espinal and Bryan Arenales have broken up. Amaya made the announcement on her Instagram stories and said, “Bryan and I are no longer together. After leaving the villa, it became very clear that we were on two different journeys.”

In her statement she did clue in to some tension between the two. She said, “Our visions didn’t align and relationships are supposed to be a team sport. You don’t have to drink the whole sea to know it’s salty.”
At the time of her statement, Bryan has not commented and all their Instagram posts together are still up. This comes after the reunion episode of Love Island USA Season 7, where they presented a united front.
After winning Love Island USA Season 7, Amaya “Papaya” Espinal and Bryan Arenales have been doing the interview circuit. From Teen Vogue to Access Hollywood and even The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, they’ve been attached at the hip talking about their experience in the villa.

And the entire time fans have been under the impression that they’ve been going strong and would be a united front during the Season 7 reunion. Now internet sleuths have noticed something that could signal that Amaya and Bryan have broken up ahead of the reunion.
According to their own Instagram follows, Amaya and Bryan have unfollowed each other. And while they haven’t confirmed the break up or deleted the posts with each other in them, fans think this points to them having broke up.
This also comes after Pepe and Iris allegedly also broke up before the reunion. They haven’t confirmed the break up either, with many noting that they never confirmed they were actually together on social after leaving the villa.
The Love Island USA Season 7 reunion special will premiere on Monday, August 25 at 6pm PT/9pm ET. The reunion will be hosted by Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. The reunion special will feature this season’s winners, fan-favorite couples, and this year’s bombshells for an up close and personal look back at their experience in the Villa.
Peacock also confirmed that Love Island Games Season 2 is set to be hosted by Ariana Madix. That will premiere Tuesday, September 16.
Love Island USA Season 7 is available to watch on Peacock.
